Working as a Journeyman, Roy laid out work for the other journeyman and apprentices. He installed duct bank, set and installed the gear, installed equipment, and made up panels.

Working as a Journeyman Roy worked closely with the masons to roughed in electrical circuits and panels in the block walls of the school.

About the Owner

Roy graduated from Jackpot High School in 2000. After adjusting to big city life in Las Vegas, he joined the Electrical Apprenticeship program with Associated Builders and Contractors Las Vegas Chapter and attended school at the College of Southern Nevada. After completing his apprenticeship Roy continued working for Helix Electric for 6 years as a Journeyman and took on supervisory roles at several of his job sites. In September of 2013 Roy and his wife, Jessi, decided it was time to move back home and be closer to family. "Living in Idaho has helped our family grow closer to God and each other. You just get a different feeling here" explained Roy. "Las Vegas was great to my family, but we are happy to be home." Roy and his children attend The Church, Pastored by Bryan Bacon.

Bureau of Reclamation’s Lower Colorado Region Office

Working as a Lead Journeyman, Roy supervised several journeyman and apprentices. Roy ran weekly safety meetings, ordered material and performed regular electrical duties.

Big League Dreams Sports Park - Las Vegas

Working as a Journeyman Roy supervised Journeyman and Apprentices. He roughed in the electrical components of the snack bars and supplied the batting cages with lights and power for the equipment.

Condos at Green Valley Ranch

Working as an Apprentice Roy completed residential new construction on several condos. His work included roughing in new electrical service, installation of fixtures, and troubleshooting electrical issues.

UNLV Greenspun College of Urban Affairs Building

Working as a Journeyman Roy completed all of the outdoor lighting projects including walkways, stairs, and outside building lights.
